Our Eco Fair, organised by the Education Committee as part of our Eco Congregation activities, takes place Saturday 12th October from 10.00 am till 3.00pm. We’re delighted to have had lots of support from student and community groups and have the following stalls in place: Fairtrade (St Leonard’s Church), Recycling in Fife, Transition freebie stall, Energy advice with StAndEN, Wonderbox (Lochee Parish church),
St Andrews University Traditional Music Society, Skillshare sign-ups, Eco Pledge tree, Vintage clothes stall, Messy Church Mousehunt and Animal masks. Teas, coffees and home bakes also on the go! Something for everyone we hope!! Come along and discover what these stalls offer, bring your friends and promote our green credentials!
Our Vintage Clothes stall is proving of great interest to students who are keen to reduce their environmental impact by choosing sustainable fashion. (Did you know the fashion industry accounts for more than a third of ocean microplastics while textile dyeing is the second largest polluter of clean water globally?) Hence, we are appealing for more donations to make our stall a good one! Gents and ladies clothes and shoes all welcome . . . and bear in mind it doesn’t need to be that old to qualify as ‘vintage’ to younger
generations! Jewellery, including earrings, (nothing of any real value) and bags also gladly accepted. Clothes can be dropped off at TOAST, Encounter or brought to Church next Sunday 6th October.
